The 7th Singapore Sarcoma Consortium Education and Research Meeting will offer participants a comprehensive update of the multi-disciplinary management of bone sarcoma, and soft tissue sarcomas.

Equally, it aims to bring the local and regional sarcoma community together to establish collaborations for research in this rapidly moving field to accelerate the advancement of sarcoma care in Singapore and the region

Why You Should Attend: Benefits

This conference aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the latest standards of care in managing soft tissue sarcomas, and bone sarcomas.
In addition, we aim to provide a platform for the regional sarcoma community to exchange ideas, engage in discussions and establish collaborations for research and patient care. In an uncommon disease which requires highly specialized care at every point of the disease trajectory, it is hoped that this exchange of knowledge and pooling or resources will go some way towards advancing the standards of sarcoma patient care in the region.

  1. Establish a broad foundation of knowledge in current sarcoma biology, pathology and therapy, and to improve focus and depth of instruction. This will be achieved through both didactic sessions and case-based / patient-centred discussions.
  2. Highlight specific advances in management that have impacted care in recent years, including developments in molecular diagnostic pathology, novel prognostic and predictive biomarkers, the latest techniques to minimise the morbidity of surgery and radiation therapy, and the expanding options of agents for systemic therapy.
  3. Emphasize the importance of, address the barriers to, and outline a working approach to multi-disciplinary care at every stage of patient management.
